‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Set Photos Tease Jon Bernthal’s Punisher Return

Jon Bernthal is back as Frank Castle / The Punisher in newly shared Daredevil: Born Again set photos.

Daredevil Updates (@DDevilUpdates) on X has shared a ton of set photos from the upcoming Disney+ series, which is now officially confirmed to be a direct continuation of Netflix’s Daredevil. Marvel fans can see Bernthal’s Frank Castle suited up as The Punisher and working with Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

Following a creative overhaul late last year, Marvel Studios decided to officially make the Netflix/Marvel shows canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Dario Scardapane (Jack Ryan, The Punisher) was brought in to serve as the new showrunner for the series, while Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the co-directing team who have helmed episodes of Moon Knight and Loki Season 2, were hired to direct the remaining episodes of the show’s first season.

This new creative vision also led to Marvel finally bringing back Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, respectively. Before this move, the characters were not expected to appear. Also returning from the Netflix era is Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye.

Born Again will continue storylines established in Daredevil, as well as the recent Marvel Spotlight series, Echo, such as Kingpin running for mayor of New York City. As you can see in the set photos, it looks like he will be elected mayor and put together an anti-vigilante task force. Exciting times for the MCU ahead!

Daredevil: Born Again is eyeing a 2025 release on Disney+.
