Walt Disney Animation Studios has released an official teaser trailer for Encanto, there next big animated feature. Let’s take a look!
Well, I’ll be honest and say that this so far does not interest me in the slightest. I like Lin-Manuel Miranda, and I have no doubt that the music and songs will be absolutely amazing.
However, it’s the plot that has me concerned. I know it’s a teaser so there’s not much to go on, but a kid not being special feels like it has been played out before in cinema.
Hopefully Disney can do something new and special with the topic.
Plot Synopsis:
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto,” is the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The all-new original film features the voice of Stephanie Beatriz as Mirabel, an ordinary 15-year-old who’s struggling to find her place in her family. “Mirabel is a really funny, loving character who also deeply yearns for something more,” says Beatriz. “She’s also not afraid to stand up for what she knows is right—something I love and relate to very much.
Encanto hits theaters November 24, 2021.
