First Look Images for ‘Last Night in Soho’, ‘The Forever Purge’ & ‘Samaritan’

Some new first look images for upcoming films have been released, courtesy of Total Film. Let’s take a look.

The red-tinted image is from Last Night in Soho, starring star Anya Taylor-Joy. The film hails from the mind of Edgar Wright who said that the film “the result of 25 years of living and working in Soho.” The film follows a “young girl, who is passionate about fashion design, mysteriously enters the 1960s, where she encounters her idol, a dazzling wannabe singer. But 1960s London is not what it seems, and time seems to fall apart with shady consequences.”

Last Night in Soho hits theaters April 23, 2021.

Next is an image of Sylvester Stallone in Samaritan, which is about “a young boy discovers that a superhero who went missing 20 years ago is living next door to him.” Director Julius Avery (Overlord) said this on the upcoming film:

“We didn’t really have superheroes. We only had action heroes. And Sly was the closest thing we had to a superhero. So to put him in a superhero movie? That feels fresh and cool and something that people will get a kick out of.”

Samaritan hits theaters June 4, 2021.

Finally, the last image if from The Forever Purge, the fifth and final (at least for now) film in The Purge series. Screenwriter James DeMonaco said the film will discuss relations between its American and Latino characters. The film will take place after the events of The Purge: Election Year and follow Adela (Ana de la Reguera) and Juan (Tenoch Huerta) as they flee a drug cartel in Mexico and find shelter at a Texas ranch. Their peace is short-lived when they encounter a group of Americans who are not ready to give up purging. DeMonaco said the story is about “Latinos and Americans coming together to overcome despair and evil.”

The Forever Purge hits theaters July 9, 2021.
