Neon has released an official trailer for In the Earth, director Ben Wheatley‘s latest film, which is set amidst a pandemic (yay?).
Meh. I know Wheatley has his fans, but I am not one of them. High-Rise was an utter bore, which was a shame since I had really wanted to see Tom Hiddleston in a role outside of Loki.
Granted, I haven’t seen any of his other films and Free Fire looked like it might be more up my alley. So I may have to give him another chance, especially with him directing the sequel to The Meg.
Plot Synopsis:
As the world searches for a cure to a disastrous virus, a scientist and park scout venture deep in the forest for a routine equipment run. Through the night, their journey becomes a terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness, the forest coming to life around them.
In the Earth hits theaters April 23, 2021.
