‘Jack Ryan’ Movie With John Krasinski Begins Filming, First Look Released

The first look at Amazon MGM Studios‘ Jack Ryan movie, which will serve as a feature-length continuation of the Prime Video series starring John Krasinski, has been released.

Shared on the Prime Movies X account, the first-look image can be viewed above. “The next chapter begins. The Jack Ryan Movie currently in production, coming soon,” reads the caption of the post, confirming that filming has commenced on the highly-anticipated continuation.

The Jack Ryan movie was first announced in October 2024. Andrew Bernstein is directing from a screenplay written by Aaron Rabin. Both previously worked on the Prime Video series.

Besides Krasinski, who returns as the title character, Wendell Pierce and Michael Kelly are reprising their respective roles from the TV series as CIA Deputy Director James Greer and CIA Station Chief Mike November. As for new cast members, Sienna Miller (Horizon: An American Saga) joined the ensemble in December 2024 as an MI6 agent described as the “British counterpart to Ryan.”

All four seasons of Jack Ryan are streaming on Prime Video. A theatrical release date for the movie has not been announced yet.
