Jason Statham in The Beekeeper

It’s been a good week to be a Jason Statham fan.

In the past week, three action movies, all of which will star Statham, have received major updates. Here at the Wasteland, we’ve collected all the details and broken it down for you by movie. You’re welcome in advance.

The Beekeeper 2

We don’t save the best for last in the Wasteland; we give it to you right away. Filming has commenced on The Beekeeper 2, which has Timo Tjahjanto (Nobody 2, The Shadow Strays) in the director’s chair. Kurt Wimmer returned to write the script.

The full cast for the action sequel has also been unveiled by Amazon MGM Studios. Returning alongside Statham for The Beekeeper 2 are Jeremy IronsEmmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave. They will be joined by new additions Yara ShahidiPom Klementieff, and Adam Copeland.

Shelter

Statham’s untitled action thriller from director Ric Roman Waugh is untitled no more. Black Bear has officially titled the movie Shelter and dated it for release in theaters on January 30, 2026. In Shelter, Statham plays a reclusive man who lives in a remote house by the sea. When he rescues a young girl from drowning in a terrible storm, he unwittingly sets off a chain reaction that soon brings violence his way, forcing him to confront choices from his past. Bodhi Rae, Naomi Ackie, and Bill Nighy also star.

Mutiny

The only Statham movie update that’s bad news. Mutiny has been delayed from its January 8, 2026, release date by Lionsgate, which has slotted Waugh’s Gerard Butler-led Greenland 2: Migration in that spot instead. Mutiny, which stars Statham as a former NY police officer who is framed for murdering his billionaire friend, will now be released in Summer 2026.

That’s all! Are you going to watch any of these Statham action flicks?
