Two recent MCU stars are teaming up for a new sci-fi action-thriller at Apple Studios.
According to Deadline, Vanessa Kirby (The Fantastic Four: First Steps) and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Wonder Man) are set to star in Liminal, a feature adaptation of the AWA graphic novel Telepaths by J. Michael Straczynski, Steve Epting, and Brian Reber.
Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk) is attached to direct the sci-fi movie. The screenplay will be written by Justin Rhodes (Terminator: Dark Fate).
While plot details remain under wraps, the feature will likely be based at least partially on the source material, which takes place in a world where a tenth of the population suddenly gains telepathic powers as a result of an electromagnetic disturbance. Subsequently, newly telepathic Boston police find themselves contending with a faction, led by a wrongly convicted prisoner, who are trying to escape a world in which their powers will make them targets.
Have you read Telepaths? Do you like these actors? Will you watch?
