Netflix has released an official trailer for Luther: The Fallen Sun, an upcoming film continuation of the BBC crime thriller series, Luther. Let’s take a look.
I have not watched a second of Luther, but I may have to watch this. I’m starting to really like Idris Elba as both an actor and a human being, so I’ll support him by checking this out. Also, Andy Serkis as a serial killer? Uh, yes, please!
Luther: The Fallen Sun also stars Cynthia Erivo and Dermot Crowley.
Plot Synopsis:
In Luther: The Fallen Sun — an epic continuation of the award-winning television saga reimagined for film — a gruesome serial killer is terrorizing London while brilliant but disgraced detective John Luther (Idris Elba) sits behind bars. Haunted by his failure to capture the cyber psychopath who now taunts him, Luther decides to break out of prison to finish the job by any means necessary.
Luther: The Fallen Sun opens in select theaters on February 24, 2023, ahead of its Netflix release on March 10, 2023.
