‘MacGruber’ Trailer: Who Let the Dog Out?

Peacock has released an official trailer for MacGruber. The upcoming action-comedy series serves as a sequel to the 2010 film of the same name. Is the world ready for more MacGruber? Let’s take a look at the trailer and decide for ourselves.

Okay, this looks like it could be a lot of fun. I particularly liked the line “Let’s go make some widows.” I mean, that could actually be a great line in an action film. Imagine Schwarzenegger or Stallone saying that back in the ’80s? Like damn, that would have been amazing.

Will Forte returns as MacGruber, after originating the character on Saturday Night Live. Also starring in MacGruber are Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne, Billy Zane, and Timothy V. Murphy.

Plot Synopsis:

After rotting in prison for over a decade, America’s ultimate hero and uber patriot MacGruber (Will Forte) is finally released. His mission: to take down a mysterious villain from his past—Brigadier Commander Enos Queeth (Zane). With the entire world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must reassemble his old team, Vicki St. Elmo (Wiig) and Dixon Piper (Phillippe) in order to defeat the forces of evil.

All eight episodes of MacGruber begin streaming December 16, 2021 on Peacock.
