Yesterday brought what felt like a steady stream of movie delays. Is the 2021 film slate already in shambles? Let’s find out which films have moved and what their new release dates are below.

- Cinderella – July 16, 2021 (February 5, 2021)
- Bios – August 13, 2021 (April 16, 2021)
- The King’s Man – August 20, 2021 (March 12, 2021)
- No Time to Die – October 8, 2021 (April 2021)
- Ron’s Gone Wrong – October 22, 2021 (April 23, 2021)
- Last Night in Soho – October 22, 2021 (April 2021)
- Ghostbusters: Afterlife – November 11, 2021 (June 11, 2021)
- Morbius – January 21, 2022 (October 2021)
- Uncharted – February 11, 2022 (July 16, 2021)
- Bob’s Burgers – TBA (April 9, 2021)
- Antlers – October 29, 2021
- Nightmare Alley – December 3, 2021
Finally, Netflix has bought Phil Lord and Chris Miller‘s animated sci-fi family adventure movie Connected from Sony Pictures. It has reverted back to its original title, The Mitchells vs The Machines, and will stream later this year. Oh, and Minari will hit on demand February 26, 2021.
It looks like we could be dealing with another packed year-end. I can see Peter Rabbit 2 end up doing a theatrical/VOD hybrid release, and maybe the same could be done for Bios and Antlers. The studios can’t keep delaying everything. The films with the lowest budgets will eventually be left out in the pasture to rot.
But I think we can all agree that Morbius being delayed is a good thing. Did anyone even ask for this film?
