‘Nomadland’ Trailer: Frances McDormand Takes Life on the Road

Searchlight Pictures has released an official trailer for Nomadland. The film earned rave reviews earlier this year when it made the festival circuit.

The trailer feels like its teasing a documentary on nomads, which might have some truth to it. The film is set to feature real nomads who mentor Frances McDormand‘s Fern. The film looks beautiful and I’m sure this will earn some serious accolades come next awards season.

Plot Synopsis:

Following the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad. The third feature film from director Chloé Zhao, NOMADLAND features real nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells as Fern’s mentors and comrades in her exploration through the vast landscape of the American West.

Nomadland hits theaters in wide release on February 19, 2021.
