Power Rankings: Animated Movies

Toy Story 4 comes out this week so we thought it would be a good time to discuss some of our favorite animated movies. We all grew up on cartoons. For the majority of us a cartoons was the first form of entertainment we ever watched. Being a child of the 80’s myself, there was nothing better than a bowl and cereal and some Saturday morning cartoons. Animated films were most likely a big part of most our lives as well, and not just the kiddie kind either. Most animated movies are good times and designed to provide laughs and wholesome entertainment. Also, some of the most emotional and more impactful movies we have watched have come from animated films. However, there are some that are more of the adult animated variety. No, not that kind. Not that there is anything wrong with those. I’m not judging. Well, at least not to your face. Perv.

Several of us here at the SAW offices ranked our top 5 animated films of all types. 2004’s The Incredibles proved to be the most popular of those listed by appearing on three lists. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and The Story of the Fox are the earliest films mentioned from the year 1937, with 2018 being the most recent year in films like Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse and Batman Ninja.
