Reading Time: < 1 minute

Focus Features has released an official trailer for Pressure, based on David Haig‘s 2014 stage play, which in turn was based on true events that took place during World War II. Let’s take a look.

Pressure stars Andrew Scott as meteorologist James Stagg and Brendan Fraser as Dwight D. Eisenhower, with Kerry Condon, Damian Lewis, and Chris Messina rounding out the ensemble. Anthony Maras directed Pressure from a screenplay he co-wrote with Haig.

Plot Synopsis:

In the tense 72 hours before D-Day, and the fate of the free world hanging in the balance, Pressure follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg as they face an impossible choice—launch the largest and most dangerous seaborne invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether.

Pressure opens in theaters on May 29, 2026.
