Who Should Direct & Star in Amazon MGM’s First ‘James Bond’ Movie?

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Our mission at SAW is to foster conversations about this thing we all love (or love to hate): film/TV. Many of our features are designed with you in mind. Your opinions, to be more to the point. You have ’em. We want to hear ’em.

Question of the Day (QOTD) is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a film/TV-related question that we put to you, the reader. The comments section below is like the feedback box at work; except, in this example, we actually read what you write and care about what you have to say.

With Puck reporting that new James Bond producers David Heyman and Amy Pascal has met with, or will be meeting with, Edward Berger, Denis Villeneuve, Edgar Wright, Jonathan Nolan, and Paul King for the next movie, and with Rebel Ridge breakout Aaron Pierre rumored to be among the actors Amazon is considering for 007, I thought now would be the best time to ask: who do you want to see direct and star in Bond 26?

Honestly, an Edgar Wright-directed Bond movie sounds like it would slap, so I’m going with him. I think Chad Stahelski could also breathe some new life into the franchise, but he seems busy with John Wick and Highlander for the foreseeable future.

As for who should star, I feel like my original pick, Dan Stevens, has aged out of the role, so I’m on board with the other rumor being that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is Amazon’s top choice for 007.

So what about you, screenagers? Which director and actor should kick off the next era of James Bond?

I’ll see you in the trenches.
