‘Superman’ Trailer: James Gunn Will Make You Believe a Man Can Fly

DC Studios has released an official teaser trailer for writer-director James Gunn’s Superman, the first movie in the DC Universe. Let’s take a look.

Superman stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, Wendell Pierce as Perry White, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Mikaela Hoover as Cat Grant, Christopher McDonald as Ron Troupe, Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, and Neva Howell as Martha Kent.

Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, and María Gabriela de Faría are also set to appear in the movie, playing superheroes Guy Gardner / Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, Michael Holt / Mister Terrific, Rex Mason / Metamorpho, and Angela Spica / The Engineer, respectively. Frank Grillo will also reprise his role from Creature Commandos as Rick Flag Sr.

Plot Synopsis:

In his signature style, James Gunn takes on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a singular blend of epic action, humor and heart, delivering a Superman who’s driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humankind.

Superman opens in theaters on July 11, 2025.
