‘The Guilty’ Trailer: Jake Gyllenhaal is a 911 Operator

Netflix has released an official trailer for The Guilty, starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Let’s take a look.

I have to admit that Gyllenhaal doesn’t really do anything for me. By that I mean that he alone won’t sell me on a film. However, the trailer makes this look like a passable thriller of sorts, so maybe I’ll give this a whirl.

The Guilty is a remake of a 2018 Danish film of the same name. Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) directed the remake from a screenplay by Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective).

Plot Synopsis:

The film takes place over the course of a single morning in a 911 dispatch call center. Call operator Joe Baylor (Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave danger—but he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out.

The Guilty begins streaming October 1, 2021 on Netflix.
