‘The Night House’ Trailer: Do You Believe in Ghosts?

Searchlight Pictures has released an official trailer for The Night House, starring Rebecca Hall. Let’s take a look.

Well, it looks like her late husband had kept some secrets from her. Why did he have a reverse floorplan of their house? Is this going to be some sort of Upside-Down shit from Stranger Things? Is her husband haunting her or something even more disturbing? I guess we’ll have to find out.

Although, I do have to wonder if this film will be good enough to snag a couple Trashie Awards next year when SAW writers Sailor Monsoon and Vincent Kane hand out awards for the best horror movies of 2021 on their podcast Night of the Lists.

In addition to Hall, The Night House also stars Sarah Goldberg (Barry), Vondie Curtis Hall (Eve’s Bayou), Evan Jonigkeit (Togetherish), and Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac).

Plot Synopsis:

Reeling from the unexpected death of her husband, Beth (Rebecca Hall) is left alone in the lakeside home he built for her. She tries as best she can to keep it together – but then nightmares come. Disturbing visions of a presence in the house calling to her, beckoning her with a ghostly allure. Against the advice of her friends, she begins digging into her husband’s belongings, yearning for answers. What she finds are secrets both strange and disturbing – a mystery she’s determined to unravel. THE NIGHT HOUSE stars Rebecca Hall (HOLMES & WATSON, CHRISTINE), Sarah Goldberg (Barry, Elementary), Vondie Curtis Hall (DIE HARD 2, EVE’S BAYOU), Evan Jonigkeit (Togetherish, Sweetbitter), and Stacy Martin (VOX LUX, NYMPHOMANIAC).

The Night House hits theaters July 16, 2021.
