‘The Sandman’ Teaser Trailer: Our First Look at the Neil Gaiman Adaptation

Netflix has released an official first look for The Sandman. The upcoming drama series is based on the 1989–1996 comic book written by Neil Gaiman and published by DC Comics. Let’s take a look.

I’m in. This looks great!

I will definitely need to get the boxset of The Sandman comics and read the whole series before diving into this adaptation next year. I cannot wait for this.

The Sandman stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, with Gwendoline Christie, Vivienne Acheampong, Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, Asim Chaudhry, and Sanjeev Bhaskar in supporting roles.

Plot Synopsis:

A rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy in which contemporary fiction, historical drama, and legend are seamlessly interwoven, ‘The Sandman’ follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic — and human — mistakes he’s made during his vast existence.

The Sandman will probably begin streaming sometime in 2022.
