MOVIES AND SHOWS WATCHED THIS WEEK

Powaqqatsi (1988) – The follow up to Koyaanisqatsi is just a visually cool, just in a different way. It’s less of the modern world and more of a tribal one. I liked it, but it just didn’t suck me in like the first one. 3.5/5

Baraka (1992) – So the Director of Photography of Koyaanisqatsi went to on to make his own film a decade later. This was it. And I gotta say its outstanding as well. There’s a scene in it of some tribal singing, that both Mike Patton and Weird Al incorporate into to their music. It’s crazy. PS the film is gorgeous to watch. 5/5
