MOVIES AND SHOWS WATCHED THIS WEEK

Ashes to Ashes (2008-2010) – Finally finished the series. Such a great ending and I loved how well it tied into Life on Mars. If the rumors of a third series are true, I’m down in a heartbeat. 4/5

The Girl Who Played With Fire (2009) – I had seen this and the original Girl With the Dragon Tattoo back before Fincher remade it, but had forgotten all about it. And now I remember why … it’s pretty forgettable. Not remotely as good as either TGWDT’s if you ask me.  1.75/5

The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest (2009) – I never got around to this one until now. It’s better than the previous one because it ties it all together. It’s more of a courtroom movie than anything else. Nothing special, but an improvement overall. 3/5

Boss Level (2021) – Finally gave this a whirl. Nothing mind blowing but Frank Grillo seemed to have fun with it and that made it enjoyable. I was expecting Mel Gibson to ham it up a bit more and I loved the use of Boston’s song Long Time. 3.75/5
