WHAT I WATCHED THIS WEEK

Pluto TV has all 13 of the films on this month. One day we caught the end of Wrath of Khan, and kinda just kept going. My wife had never seen any of them (minus the Kelvin timeline) after The Search for Spock, because that one was just so bad. She also kinda refused to rewatch the first one because she remembered being bored by it. BUT, it happened to be on two nights ago and we watched it. I’m not gonna write about all of them because… “ain’t nobody got time for that.”

But, I do think SAW should do a ranking of all the films.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) Much better than she remembered and it’s actually quite engaging. The film looks absolutely fantastic and even though it has a weird “villain”, it really is quite solid. You also have to do a shot every time you see a random dude floating in space. 3.75/5

Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan (1982) – Just an all round great film. It does a good job taking a one and done villain from the original series and then building him up into a memorable character/storyline that people still quote to this day. 4.5/5
