WHAT I WATCHED THIS WEEK
Chasing Chasing Amy (2023) – It’s definitely not quite the documentary I excpected it to be, but that being said it was VERY insightful. It brought up a few things about the movie I wasn’t fully aware about. It’s funny how thoughts have changed about the movie in the LGBTQ community over the years. And since I always saw it from the straight white guy perspective, I didn’t get the hate. 4/5
Memory: The Origins of Alien (2019) – A really interesting look back on how Dan O’Bannon came up with the concept for Alien and how making Dark Star with John Carpenter was the impetus for it all. It’s a really interesting look at one of my all time favorite movies. 4/5
