Weekend Fallout: ‘Light of Day’

The Weekend Fallout is an unsafe place to discuss most things in the reel and real world.

Let us know what you have been watching recently on the big and small screen. Excited about any upcoming releases? Doing anything fun this weekend? Simply sitting around in your underwear eating dang quesadillas while watching movies and endlessly scrolling through social media? Let us know below!

WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS

Here are some articles from this past week that we encourage you to check out and jump in (or start) the conversation. June is 80’s month at SAW, so there will be a TON of things coming your way. Gnarly, right?

MOVIES AND SHOWS WATCHED THIS WEEK

The Allnighter (1987) – By now you should all know of my love for Susanna Hoffs. And yet somehow I never saw this movie. So I needed to rectify that this month. Oddly enough it was directed by her own mother and costars the younger sister of Michelle Pfeiffer. It’s not anything special, but man is she cute in it and we got that gif above from it. 2.5/5

Midnight Madness (1980) – It’s an all night scavenger hunt with 5 color coded teams of pure 80s stereotypes. It’s got an ok cast and I remember watching it a bunch on HBO as a kid. It’s all sorts of 80s silliness. I love the opening sequence of the two chicks rollerskating around handing out the invites. MJF’s first movie and guess what… Duke hasn’t seen it. 3.25/5

Morbius (2022) – Mediocre superhero flick at best. Nothing really redeeming about it and I have no idea how Vulture gets his suit back if he got pulled into a new universe. Dumb AF, both Venom movies were more entertaining than this. 1/5
