WHAT I WATCHED THIS WEEK
Baby Reindeer (2024) – This show is a tough one to get through, especially the first four episodes. There’s A LOT going on the 30ish minutes of each episode and it just sucks you in. I really enjoyed the show overall, my wife was less enthused by it, but agreed if it was a documentary in the vein of Don’t F**k with Cats she may have been more into it. 4.25/5
Unfrosted (2024) – Now after watching Baby Reindeer, we needed something mindless and less disturbing so this fit thee bill perfectly. When I saw teh trailer I thought it looked stupid, but I gotta say it IS entertaining. It is also stupid, but in a fun way. Not all the jokes stick the landing, but it does play out well. The end credits song and dance routine is worth the 90 min of your life on this. 3.75/5
SONG OF THE WEEK
It was a real fucking bummer to hear about Steve Albini passing away this week. He produced so many god damn great records. He was a true Chicagoan and will be missed. None of his own band stuff is on Spotify, so here’s some other songs he produced through the years.
