MOVIES AND SHOWS WATCHED THIS WEEK
Dark City: The Directors Cut (1998) – I saw this once back in the day (early 2000s probably) Then once again when the DC first came out. I thought it was just fine overall. But this time around I enjoyed it more for it neo-noir schlockyness. Kiefer Sutherland is pretty great as Dr. Schreber. 3.75/5
Nightbreed: The Directors Cut (1990) – Sailor recommended this one and man was it a wild one. For the first 30-45 min I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into. But I really enjoyed the film in the long run. It’s like an even more fucked up Pan’s Labyrinth, with David Cronenberg himself as one of the human bad guys. I will say this… I liked it more than the original Hellraiser. 3.75/5
Reboot (2022) – I never watched Modern Family (even though I know I should) but the trailer looked funny for this so I gave it a shot. Little did I know Judy Greer would flash us and there would be so much cursing all in the first episode. I hope they keep up that trend. 4/5
