WHAT I WATCHED THIS WEEK
Trap (2024) – M. Night financing his own films is the only way these things are gonna get made. He’s lost all steam in the engine for making a really good film. Now it’s all just mediocrity. The acting feels choppy and the dialogue is Lucas level bad in parts. BUT I did like how it all played out. Also, his daughter can’t act. 2.75/5
Alien: Romulus (2024) – It’s above and beyond better than Covenant, but it also didn’t really engage me fully. The “crew” gets killed off so quickly you have no real reason to care for them one bit. I get why they made them all younger but it felt off. It was a solid enough flick that makes me want to go back and finish playing Isolation. 3.25/5
