‘Wendell & Wild’ Trailer: Henry Selick Teams with Jordan Peele for New Spooky Stop-Motion Film

Netflix has released an official teaser trailer for Wendell & Wild, the latest stop-motion film from visionary director Henry Selick. Let’s take a look.

I had absolutely zero interest in this film until I learned that the man behind The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline was also behind this film. Also, let’s take a look at that cast: Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele, Lyric Ross, Angela Bassett, Ving Rhames and James Hong. The cast alone is enough to get me to watch. Fingers crossed Selick and Peele deliver and give us a new Halloween classic to watch each year.

Plot Synopsis:

From the delightfully wicked minds of Henry Selick and producer Jordan Peele comes Wendell & Wild, an animated tale about scheming demon brothers Wendell (Key) and Wild (Peele), who enlist the aid of Kat Elliot — a tough teen with a load of guilt — to summon them to the Land of the Living. But what Kat demands in return leads to a brilliantly bizarre and comedic adventure like no other, an animated fantasy that defies the law of life and death, all told through the handmade artistry of stop motion.

Wendell & Wild begins streaming on October 28, 2022 on Netflix.
