Universal Pictures has released the official 1917 trailer and it looks like it will satisfy fans who enjoy a good fictional story wrapped around a true historic event.
Like my headline makes clear, it is hard not to make comparisons to Christopher Nolan’s 2017 war epic Dunkirk. Both feature young leads and are set around a world war. However, the plots look like they will be very different.
Like any film aiming to be nominated for some major awards, 1917 boasts a great cast of heavy hitters. Colin Firth, Mark Strong, and Benedict Cumberbatch definitely have me interested in checking this out in theaters. If not, I’ll buy it on home media for my Dad and watch it with him.
Plot Synopsis:
1917 hits theaters in a limited release on December 25, 2019 and opens wide January 10, 2020.
