Ralphie Is All Grown Up in First ‘A Christmas Story Christmas’ Trailer

Warner Bros. has released an official trailer for A Christmas Story Christmas, an upcoming legacy sequel to the 1983 Christmas classic A Christmas Story. Let’s take a look.

I don’t even like the original film, but dammit if that’s not a good trailer. Okay, maybe I’m just a sucker for nostalgia and cozy Christmas films. Either way, it looks like I’ll be giving A Christmas Story another shot this holiday season.

Peter Billingsley reprises his role from the 1983 film as Ralph “Ralphie” Parker in A Christmas Story Christmas, while Julie Hagerty replaces Melinda Dillon as his mother, Mrs. Parker. Ian Petrella, Scott Schwartz, R. D. Robb, and Zack Ward will also reprise their roles as Randy Parker, Flick, Schwartz, and Scut Farkus, respectively. Erinn Hayes will play Ralphie’s wife while River Drosche and Julianna Layne will play their kids.

Plot Synopsis:

A Christmas Story Christmas follows an adult Ralphie (Billingsley) in the 1970s, who returns to the house on Cleveland Street to deliver his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had growing up. Ralphie reconnects with childhood friends like Flick, Schwartz, encounters childhood bullies like Scut and reconciles the passing of his Old Man.

A Christmas Story Christmas begins streaming on November 17, 2022 on HBO Max.
