‘Breaking News in Yuba County’ Trailer: Sue Buttons Has One Killer Story

MGM has released an official trailer for Breaking News in Yuba County. The film looks to follow Allison Janney as a housewife who enjoys her claim to fame after her husband goes missing.

This looks kind of crazy, but maybe in a good way(?). At the very least, it looks like another incredible acting performance from Janney.

I’m quite fond of R-rated movies that just continue to ramp up the tension and craziness. It looks like Janney’s Sue Buttons will do anything to hold onto her 15 minutes of fame. I may have to check this one out.

Plot Synopsis:

After her husband goes missing, Sue Buttons (Allison Janney), an underappreciated suburban wife, gets a taste of being a local celebrity as she embarks on a search to find him. She quickly finds herself in over her head, dodging cops, criminals and local reporters all aiming to uncover the truth. After being overlooked for so long, Sue goes to exaggerated lengths to prolong her “15 minutes of fame” and keep the truth from coming out.
