The official trailer for Payback, an upcoming action film, has been released. It looks pretty by-the-numbers, but let’s see what you think.
It looks like a pretty standard action film. There’s no stylized violence like in John Wick nor is there any explosive third act you might get in a Bay movie. Instead, it’s just Matt Levett trying to right some wrongs. I’ll admit his character’s dad, Rade Serbedzija, seems like a complete badass. I think I would have rather seen the dad trying to seek out revenge.
Payback also stars Toby Leonard Moore (Billions), Anna Baryshnikov (Manchester by the Sea), Lev Gorn (The Americans), and Elena Satine (Twin Peaks).

Payback will be released for digital download and VOD February 5, 2021.
