Check Out This New ‘Snowpiercer’ Promo

TNT released this pretty cool little promo over the weekend for its new Snowpiercer TV show.

A little over a minute-long, the teaser shows the opening of the first episode, animated in a similar style to the art of the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige which the show and the movie are based on. The show’s creative team also confirmed that the series will be inspired by both Bong Joon-Ho’s 2013 movie as well as the original trilogy of graphic novels.

While the series has had a rough start ahead of it premiere, with series developer and original showrunner Josh Friedman leaving the project as the show bounced from TNT to TBS, back to TNT. But things are looking up for the show as a second season has already been greenlit.

I really like how the animation blended into live action right at the end. I wonder if they will do something similar each episode and show something new with that style.

Plot Synopsis:

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a 1001 car, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the acclaimed movie and graphic novel series of the same name.

The first season will premiere on TNT in Spring 2020.
