‘Clifford the Big Red Dog’ First Look Teaser: Well, That’s Certainly a Big Red Dog

Paramount has released an official trailer for Clifford the Big Red Dog. The upcoming live-action/CG-hyrid film is based on the children’s book series of the same name by Norman Bridwell.

I don’t know why Twitter thought this design looked terrible because I thought it looked pretty good. I mean, they thought this was Sonic the Hedgehog before the redesign bad. I’ll say that staring into Clifford’s eyes is a bit unsettling, but that pup looks adorable and I would definitely want to cuddle with him.

The film stars Darby Camp (Big Little Lies), Jack Whitehall (Bad Education), John Cleese (Monty Python) and Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil). It is directed by Walt Becker from a screenplay written by Jay Scherick, David Ronn, Annie Mumolo, and Stan Chervin.

Plot Synopsis:

When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth meets a magical animal rescuer who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple. Based on the beloved Scholastic book character, Clifford will teach the world how to love big!

Clifford the Big Red Dog hits theaters November 5, 2021.
