Reminder: Don’t forget to submit your Spider-Man / Venom rankings before the deadline on Monday.
It’s a question that has caused fans of cinema to lose countless hours over debating: What is the best and worst of any given film franchise?
ScreenAge Wasteland aims to find the common ground by asking its community to participate in a collaborative ranking of every film in the Spider-Man franchise. The eligible films are Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Venom, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
All you have to do is order the films from best to worst. There are two ways to submit your ranking of the 11 Spider-Man films:
- Send your ranking, along with a sentence or two about each film (your favorite part, why it is great/terrible, etc.) to info.screenagewasteland@gmail.com; or
- Drop your ranking down in the Disqus comments of this post.
Please submit your ranking by Monday, March 7. Here’s an example of what a response might look like (taken from SAW Ranks the X-Men Movies for The Wolverine):
- James Mangold did a great job of course correcting things after Origins shit the bed, and even though I’m not the biggest fan of Aronofsky, I really kinda wish we got to see his movie instead.
Once the deadline has past, we’ll tally up the various rankings, cherrypick the best responses for each film, and put together a massive collab ranking post for release sometime in October.
Are you up for the task? Comment below or email to confirm your involvement.

Thanks in advance to everyone who participates. You are a true screenager.
NOTE: As long as you have seen at least 8 films you can participate. Just rank the ones you have seen. The scores will be adjusted depending on how many you rank.
