James Gunn has added two more actors to the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The Suicide Squad breakout Daniela Melchior will reunite with Gunn for an undisclosed small role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel. have a small role in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, we can confirm. Additionally, Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova, who rose to fame for playing Borat’s daughter in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, has also joined the cast in a key role. On Bakalova, Gunn tweeted that she was “incredible” in the upcoming threequel.
Also, I have to add that both Melchior and Bakalova won the SAWard for Best Breakout Film Performance in their respective nominated years. So, in a way, I feel ScreenAge Wasteland is responsible for these castings. (Kidding, of course. We don’t take responsibility for anything!)
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 recently wrapped filming in May 2022. The upcoming MCU film reunites Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Karen Gillan as the core Guardians of the Galaxy team. Sylvester Stallone, Elizabeth Debicki, and Chuk Iwuji also star in the film while Will Poulter makes his Marvel debut as Adam Warlock.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will open in theaters on May 5, 2023.
Who do you think Melchior and Bakalova are playing in Vol. 3? Gunn denied Melchior would be playing Moondragon, but Bakalova certainly could be playing the character, who is the daughter of Drax. Discuss your predictions in the comments below!
