Three talented actors are joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to Deadline, Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark), Margarita Levieva (The Deuce), and Sandrine Holt (American Gigolo) have joined the cast of Daredevil: Born Again.
While their respective roles are being kept under wraps, sources are stating Gandolfini could be playing “an ambitious guy from Staten Island referred to as Liam” while Levieva and Holt will play love interests for the leads (Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk) only they don’t say which actor is falling for which leading man.
Considered a spiritual successor to Netflix’s Daredevil series, Born Again will once again follow Cox’s title character Daredevil as he comes into conflict with D’Onofrio’s mob boss Kingpin. Like character details, the plot for the upcoming Disney+ show is being kept under lock and key, although the series is rumored to be adapting the Mayor Fisk storyline from the comics. Additionally, in news that will likely delight many fans of the Netflix run, Marvel Studios is reportedly aiming for a TV-MA rating.
Daredevil: Born Again is slated to premiere in 2024 on Disney+. The first season will run for 18 episodes.
