Warner Bros. has released an official teaser trailer for Mickey 17, an upcoming science-fiction film written, directed, and co-produced by Bong Joon-ho. Let’s take a look.
Yup, that’s a teaser alright. I have no clue what this film is about (at least, I don’t until I read the synopsis below), but Bong Joon-ho and Robert Pattinson?! I mean, you can’t go wrong with that combo.
In addition to Pattinson, Mickey 17 stars Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, Mark Ruffalo, and Holliday Grainger.
Plot Synopsis:
Based on the 2022 novel Mickey7 by Edward Ashton, Mickey 17 follows the story of Mickey 17, an “expendable,” who is a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the ice world Niflheim. After one iteration dies, a new body is regenerated with most of his memories intact.
Mickey 17 opens in theaters on March 29, 2024.
