David Harbour Kicks Some Ass as Santa Claus in First ‘Violent Night’ Trailer

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Universal has released an official trailer for Violent Night, starring David Harbour as an ass-kicking Santa Claus. Let’s take a look.

First Fatman and now Violent Night, we truly are living in the golden age of films featuring a murderous Santa Claus. And I am here for it. Harbour is clearly having a blast in the role and it’s been too long since we’ve had a fun, Christmas-themed action film (when was Fatman released again?). I’ll be seeing this one in theaters for sure.

Joining Harbour in Violent Night are John Leguizamo (John Wick), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation).

Plot Synopsis:

When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (David Harbour) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.

Directed by Tommy Wirkola, Violent Night opens in theaters on December 2, 2022.
