20th Century Studios has released an official teaser trailer for Deep Water, a psychological thriller starring Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck. Let’s take a look.
Okay, I think we need to discuss the elephant in the room first. Yes, Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck were dating when this movie was made. That is no longer the case (Hello, J-Lo). Was it a bit weird watching this trailer because of that information? Yes. I don’t care if they dated, I just cannot believe Ana de Armas’ character would date, let alone marry, Ben Affleck.
The trailer was bad and did not get me excited to see this film. Will I still watch it? Maybe. It’s been a while since we’ve had a good erotic psychological thriller. We’re decades out now from that genre’s peak in the ’80s. If Deep Water sucks, there’s always 9.5 Weeks and Fatal Attraction to rewatch.

Deep Water begins streaming March 18, 2022 on Hulu. It will release on Prime Video internationally.
