The cast of Disney‘s live-action Lilo & Stitch remake is coming together.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Courtney B. Vance has boarded the upcoming movie as Cobra Bubbles, a social worker who was formerly a CIA agent. He joins a cast that currently includes newcomer Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong as Lilo’s older sister and legal guardian Nani, Kahiau Machado as Nani’s love interest David Kawena, Zach Galifianakis as the voice of alien Pleakley, and Billy Magnussen in an undisclosed role, with Chris Sanders, the co-writer/director of the original 2002 animated film, back as the voice of Stitch. Jolene Purdy is reportedly also part of the
Dean Fleischer Camp, best known for helming the Oscar-nominated Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, will direct Lilo & Stitch from a screenplay written by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright. Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich will produce.
Lilo & Stitch does not yet have a release date but is expected to premiere on Disney+.
