Fox Searchlight has released the first trailer for Downhill, a remake of Ruben Östlund’s Swedish comedy-drama Force Majeure. Check out Will Ferrell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as a couple in crisis below.
It’s been a while since I’ve actually watched anything recent with either Ferrell or Louis-Dreyfus in it. I actually can’t recall if I’ve seen her in anything other than Seinfeld or Christmas Vacation.
This looks like it has the makings to be a pretty good film. Ferrell and Louis-Dreyfus look to be bringing their A-game. They both are easily able to slip between comedic or dramatic, so it shouldn’t be too hard for them to hit the highs and lows of their character’s strained marriage.
