Marvel Studios has released the final trailer for Black Widow. It’s a couple of minutes that are full of action, backstory, and comedy. It’s definitely worth a look.
Personally, I think this is a better trailer than the first one we got. We get a lot more footage of Taskmaster, who looks to have mastered every superhero’s power-set. In the trailer, we catch glimpses of Hawkeye, Iron Man, Black Panther, and Captain America as just a few of the superheroes who he has copied.
It looks like Black Widow will see Natasha taking down the Red Room and the Black Widow Program. That’s a story I’m totally down to see play out on the big-screen. It definitely makes me wonder if Taskmaster hasn’t been genderswapped and is a test subject from the Black Widow Program.
The only part of the trailer that made me yawn was what will surely be the third act: the fighting through the air as destruction rains down. It looks extremely dumb, and I would have rather had a smaller, more intimate third act. Something akin to The Bourne Identity or Jack Reacher than The Winter Soldier.
