First Look at ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’ & ‘Enola Holmes 2’

We have been treated to first looks at two upcoming Netflix sequels: Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and Enola Holmes 2.

Netflix’s Tudum website debuted the first image from Glass Onion (which can be viewed above). The following synopsis has also been released for the upcoming sequel: “When tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton) invites some of his nearest and dearest for a getaway on his private Greek island, it soon becomes clear that all is not perfect in paradise. And when someone turns up dead, well, who better than Blanc to peel back the layers of intrigue?”

Writer-director Rian Johnson has also revealed that audiences will get to learn more about the world-famous private investigator that is Daniel Craig‘s Benoit Blanc in Glass Onion:

“You definitely get to know him a little bit better. In the first one, because of the way it was structured, Marta, Ana de Armas’ character, was very much the protagonist. In a big way, Blanc was the threat. He was almost the antagonist in terms of just the story structure, because you were worried, even as they got closer, that he was going to catch her and he was going to have to turn her over at the end. So Blanc was always outside of the sphere of our protagonist and was a little bit more of an enigma in the first movie. Whereas, in this one, Blanc gets an invitation to come to this murder mystery on this island. We’re very much meeting these people and getting into this world through his eyes.”

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will open in select theaters on a to-be-announced date and will begin streaming globally on Netflix on December 23, 2022.

Entertainment Weekly debuted the images for Enola Holmes 2, which will once again star Millie Bobby Brown as the titular sleuth.

The sequel will find the young Enola attempting “to open her own detective agency (and hopefully get out of Sherlock’s shadow). Enola’s newest adventure begins after a young girl working in a match factory hires her to locate her missing sister. Before long, Enola finds herself drawn into a high-stakes chase across London, journeying from the city’s seedy industrial underbelly to the glitzy galas of high society.”

Henry Cavill also returns as Sherlock Holmes for the sequel, which begins streaming November 4, 2022 on Netflix.
