First Trailer for Apple TV+’s ‘Ghostwriter’ Reboot

Apple TV+ has just released the official teaser trailer for Ghostwriter, the streaming service’s reboot of the 90s supernatural mystery series.

As far as teasers go this was a pretty good one. It introduced viewers to the main cast, and explained that something wasn’t right in the bookstore. Of course, we know that it’s Ghostwriter, a ghost that likes to write.

The original series ran on PBS for three seasons from 1992-95 and was a huge critical success with the goal of the series to teach reading and writing skills to elementary and middle school children. It also had multi-episode arcs, encouraging viewers to follow the clues across episodes to solve the mystery.

It’s unsure if the new Ghostwriter will also be employing multi-episode arcs, but given the nature of a streaming service where you’ll forget when one episode ended and another began, differentiating episodes can become tricky. I don’t know how many times I’d try to figure out what happened in each episode of Daredevil, because I had watched so many in a row and they had all blurred together. Hopefully, if Ghostwriter does employ a continuing storyline, they’ll be able to make each episode stand-out on its own as well.

Plot Synopsis:

When a ghost haunts a neighborhood bookstore and starts releasing fictional characters into the real world, four kids must team up to solve an exciting mystery surrounding the ghost’s unfinished business.

Ghostwriter premieres November 1, 2019 on Apple TV+.
