‘Free Guy’ Trailer: He’s Not Just a Background Character Anymore

20th Century Fox has just released the official Free Guy trailer. To see Ryan Reynolds in something that isn’t Deadpool or Detective Pikachu, check it out below.

This isn’t exactly what I was expecting this film to look like, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I don’t quite understand how Reynolds’ character was able to put on the glasses of a real person’s avatar, but again that’s okay.

My biggest concern is that this film isn’t worrying too much about how the background character is able to interact as if he was a real life human playing a character. That seems like something they should have ironed out, but the trailer makes it seem like they’re just brushing that part under the rug.

What do you think?

Plot Synopsis:

Free Guy is an action-comedy about a bank teller who discovers he is a background character in an open world video game called Free City that will soon go offline.

Free Guy hits theaters July 3, 2020.

Are you guys interested in seeing this at all? Could this be the best reviewed video game movie?
