‘Happiest Season’ Trailer: Everyone’s Secrets Will Be Coming Out

Hulu has released an official trailer for Happiest Season, an upcoming holiday rom-com starring Kristen Stewart (Personal Shopper) and Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049).

I’m not the biggest Kristen Stewart fan, but I do enjoy a good Christmas movie and that’s what Happiest Season looks like it could be. I’m familiar of Davis thanks to Terminator: Dark Fate (under appreciated if you ask me), and her and Stewart look to make a cute couple. The rest of the cast is full of great comedic actors, so this looks like it could be a real holiday treat.

And Hulu, I may just forgive you for that horrible Hardy Boys trailer you recently unleashed onto the world.

Happiest Season was directed by Clea Duvall who also co-wrote the script with actress Mary Holland. The two additionally appear in the film alongside Stewart, Davis, Alison Brie, Aubrey Plaza, Dan Levy, Victor Garber, and Mary Steenburgen. That’s a cast I can get behind.

Plot Synopsis:

Meeting your girlfriend’s family for the first time can be tough. Planning to propose at her family’s annual Christmas dinner — until you realize that they don’t even know she’s gay — is even harder. When Abby (Kristen Stewart) learns that Harper (Mackenzie Davis) has kept their relationship a secret from her family, she begins to question the girlfriend she thought she knew. Happiest Season is a holiday romantic comedy that hilariously captures the range of emotions tied to wanting your family’s acceptance, being true to yourself, and trying not to ruin Christmas.

Happiest Season begins streaming November 25, 2020 on Hulu.
