‘High Fidelity’ Teaser Revisits Past Relationships Through Music and Pop Culture

Hulu has just released the official teaser for its gender-bent take on Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel High Fidelity. Zoe Kravitz stars as Rob, in a similar role John Cusack played in the 2000 adaptation. Let’s count down Rob’s 5 most memorable heartbreaks below.

It looks interesting, and definitely something I would connect with. I should probably read the novel and watch the 2000 film first though.

I haven’t seen something with Kravitz in it that has won me over. But she looks really good in this teaser, so maybe this performance will change my mind.

Plot Synopsis:

A departure from Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel and beloved 2000 film, Hulu’s High Fidelity centers on Rob (Zoë Kravitz, who also serves as an executive producer), a female record store owner in the rapidly gentrified neighborhood of Crown Heights, Brooklyn who revisits past relationships through music and pop culture, while trying to get over her one true love. High Fidelity also stars Da’Vine Joy Randolph, David H. Holmes, Jake Lacy, and Kingsley Ben-Adir.

High Fidelity premieres February 14, 2020 on Hulu.
