HBO Max has released the official trailer for House of the Dragon, ahead of the upcoming drama’s San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday. Let’s take a look at the Game of Thrones prequel, shall we?
Based on Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen. The series stars Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans.
Plot Synopsis:
Set two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen; the events leading up to and covering the Targaryen civil war, known as the “Dance of the Dragons.”
House of the Dragon premieres on August 21, 2022 on HBO and HBO Max. The first season will consist of 10 episodes.
