‘Love and Monsters’ Trailer: Can True Love Survive After the Monsterpocalypse?

Paramount has released an official trailer for Love and Monsters, starring Dylan O’Brien, Michael Rooker, Jessica Henwick, and Ariana Greenblatt.

Okay, I dug this. I’ve been a fan of Dylan O’Brien since The Maze Runner and have always kept an eye out for his movies (American Assassin with Michael Keaton is pretty good, FYI). With not much hitting theaters right now, Love and Monsters looks like the perfect monster-comedy flick to cleanse your palate with during your October binge of horror.

Plot Synopsis:

Seven years after the Monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson (Dylan O’Brien), along with the rest of humanity, has been living underground ever since giant creatures took control of the land. After reconnecting over radio with his high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick), who is now 80 miles away at a coastal colony, Joel begins to fall for her again. As Joel realizes that there’s nothing left for him underground, he decides against all logic to venture out to Aimee, despite all the dangerous monsters that stand in his way.

Love and Monsters premieres on digital platforms Apple TV, Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, FandangoNow, Google Play, Xfinity and more on October 16, 2020.
