Lupita Nyong’o Joins Christopher Nolan’s Next Movie

Lupita Nyong’o is the latest A-lister to board Christopher Nolan‘s next movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor, who recently headlined A Quiet Place: Da One, has joined the untitled movie in an undisclosed role. Her casting comes a few days after Zendaya and Anne Hathaway were also tapped for roles in the movie, although reports claim that the former will only appear for a few minutes (unlike her boyfriend Tom Holland who will be leading the movie alongside Matt Damon).

Nyong’o, like Zendaya, has never starred in a Nolan movie. Hathaway, meanwhile, is a frequent collaborator at this point, having starred in Nolan’s 2012 movie The Dark Knight Rises and his 2014 sci-fi film Interstellar.

Nolan wrote the script and is directing the project, which Universal Pictures will distribute. Plot details remain a closely guarded secret, with sources saying that any previously released logline online is wrong, so it doesn’t look like Nolan’s next movie will involve vampires or a hi-tech helicopter.

The untitled movie is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2026. We’ll keep you posted as more casting gets announced.
